Welsh Lecture Tour - 2010

During the Winter of 2010, MADU were commissioned by NAS (on behalf of Cadw) to provide a series of talks throughout Wales on Maritime Archaeology.

The purpose of the exercise was to provide presentations in as many regions of Wales as possible, both for divers and non-divers, professionals and amateurs.  The intention was to raise the profile of Nautical Archaeology and people's appreciation of their country's Maritime Heritage, while at the same time generating interest in NAS training courses and their "Adopt-a-Wreck" scheme within Wales.  The aspiration was to build up the number of skilled personnel in Wales able to take on and assist with future nautical archaeological projects in the country.
